Can I customize Macronutrients?

Is there any way to customize Macronutrients for personal settings?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Annie1957! Not at this time my friend. If you log food in the Fitbit app, you'll see an estimate of your daily macronutrients breakdown (total carbohydrates, fat, and protein consumed) in addition to your caloric intake. Tracking your macronutrients can help you get a better view of your overall nutrition.

After you log food, your macronutrients breakdown will appear. To see your macronutrients, complete these steps:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the food tile (which shows your calories in vs calories remaining if you created a food plan).
  2. Under Today, find your daily macronutrients breakdown as compared to your cals in vs cals out.
  3. Swipe the graph at the top to see your macronutrients breakdown over the past week.
  4. Tap the expand icon in the top right to open information about your macronutrients and then tap any particular day to see details. Tap the icon again to close.

Note that you won't see your macronutrients breakdown if you use the option to log calories instead of food. 

However, I was making some research and was able to find these ideas asking for the same:

Is there any update to this?  Can we set 'macro' goals or still only 'track' macros?

What’s the point of logging food if I don’t have the ability to set my own macros? When is this coming to get fixed? Initial request came up 3 years ago!

Any update on this- it would be very useful and probably a big draw for people to continue to use Fitbit- otherwise, what's the point?

Hi Marre, is there any update on this? I’m on fitbit premium but I will have to cancel this and move to MyFitnessPal as the premium macros view on the app isn’t good enough

It does give you the percentages in the pie graph.  So as long as you know the 3 %s you are trying hit, like 40 P, 20 F, 40 C its easy to see what You need to work on that day.

Just wonder what exactly people are looking for.  It gives the % breakdown of P,C, and F so all you need to do is adjust your food intake.  Are you looking for something to say... "Hey, you need 10 more 'grams' of x"?  Just curious because I am new to macro counting and not sure what is missing that I need.  If my P intake is low I would just make a shake and log it.  Are people looking for something that converts the necessary %'s to "You need to eat x grams of x"?  Thanks

What I am looking for is how to set my macro preferences. For instance on MyFitnessPal I can go in and set how many grams of F/C/P I want to consume per day, not just see what I've already consumed. Setting your own goals and having a visual of how much is left in each is very helpful but I don't see that option here.

This is exactly what I asked about a year ago. Yes, it gives you a breakdown of P,F,C intake but I too want to adjust my macros to my own preference and then see the progression of macro intake as I enter food consumption. I.e. Endomorphs and mesomorphs have different macro intake and I’d like to adjust accordingly while seeing the daily intake calculation.

Same.  I want to be able to set my own macros goals. Not everyone has the same dietary needs, and I care about a lot more than calories!
