I'm trying to debug the sleep tracking on my new Charge 4. Generally, I love the device, but I am noticing two things when it comes to sleep tracking. I'm hoping there's a way to address them, byt also wondering if I just need to write off sleep tracking as a feature.
I'd love to hear advice on how I can either get my sleep tracking to be more accurate, if it may actually be more accurate than I think, or if I should just write this off as something that doesn't work well in my case.

Hi @DavyRocket ! Nice to see you around. Thank you for your information and feedback.
Charge 4 devices automatically detect your sleep when you wear your device to bed. We recommend wearing your device in a snug wristband while sleeping; don’t wear your device in a clip or pendant accessory. You should be able to pass your index finder between wristband and your skin without much resistance
When your body is completely at rest and you haven’t moved for about an hour, your Fitbit device records that you’re asleep.
I also recommend you to have a look at this: How does my Fitbit device automatically detect my sleep stages?
Hope this helps you further.

I have the same issue regarding REM sleep, most days my Charge 4 registers very little, hardly ever reaching the 12% low end of the benchmark.
Like you, I also have vivid dreams, so I'm pretty sure I've been in REM, but it's just not registering on the Charge 4, and hasn't since I bought it 2 years ago. Unlike you, I don't have a problem with waking times, and it registers deep sleep, light sleep and awake times in the night, it's just REM that doesn't seem to register.
