The step counter on my fitbit 3 is not bright enough to see, if it was the same as the clock face there would be no problem, can it be done??

Similar to my problem. I tried going into a bathroom closing the door with all the lights off and I could see just the faintest of a display. Like I said customer service should be able to get you straightened out.

Thanks. I appreciate your help. I was finally able to get the room dark
enough (and also took out one contact so I could see much better up close)
and was able to put mine back to normal. I had not changed that setting in
the first place so that aggravated me. Thanks again for your help.

Well, I was finally able to get to settings and increase to Normal. That worked until this morning and now I’m back to a very faint screen. I was able, in a dark room, to see Settings and check the brightness. It’s still on Normal!!!!! I’m about ready to throw it away and buy another brand.

You can’t make changes to the brightness through the App. This can only be
done on the watch itself. You will need to contact Support as I have done.

I was having the same issue. Can't  read my steps, clock face faint, etc.I went into settings and made the mistake of touching 'auto'. Now I can't  read the screen at all, so no way to get back to settings. I try resetting it and that didn't  work. Any more advice? Thanks!

CatG31, I’m going to assume you clicked on Dim and not Auto. Try going into a dark room to see if you can see the display at all. Hopefully you will be able to change it. I have contacted Customer Service for mine.

I thought it said auto. It was already pretty dim. I'll try what you
suggested. Thanks!

I have a Fitbit Charge 3...and the Fitbit App in both an Android tablet and a Huawei P20 Pro phone. Nowhere under Settings can I find a brightness Control. Please explain how I adjust my Fitbit screen brightness from the phone or tablet using the Fitbit app. Thanks.

The only way to change the brightness is on the Fitbit itself. Sadly it
can’t be changed through the app. I had to start a Chat with Customer
Service and am now getting a replacement.

I have done that countless times!! also tried resetting, starting the watch all over again, you name it! and it still doesn't get any brighter. It's truly disappointing!!! I love the watch, but if I'm unable to see the screen what's the point in using it??!!

Go to Customer service and work with them. They replaced mine.

Thank you for your email.

That’s exactly what I did since the watch is still under warranty. We’ll
see how it goes.

Keep trying. Support was very helpful to me after they made me jump through a few understandable hoops. Just to make sure the problem wasn't on my end. When it was clear the glitch was in my Hardware they sent me a new one.

Not sure I understand what you mean—right numbers in my rooms. Please give
more info.

Exactly. I took pictures of my Charge 3 in a dark room and in a normally
lit room so they could “see” my issue.
