The step counter on my fitbit 3 is not bright enough to see, if it was the same as the clock face there would be no problem, can it be done??

Don't know if this matters but it seems like it happens in the afternoon when I'm out driving in my car. It goes dim and is it nearly impossible to read. If I come inside and sit down for a while it comes back to normal???

Any solution to the brightness issue yet? I have mine set on normal and can only read the clock unless I'm in a dark room. When I try to set my exercise tracker, I can't even see what screen I'm on. And by the time I'm able to figure it out, the screen times out and I have to start all over. I like to go for bike rides, but it's not dark enough to set it so I have to go back into the corner of the garage to see it. I like the sleek design of this over the Versa but if I can't read my steps or heartrate or set my exercise without using the app, what's the point??? SO FRUSTRATING! FITBIT - WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!

Hi there. After a few back and forth and insistence from my end I convinced them that the dim display was actually a defect and they sent me a replacement unit. The new one is fine. Good luck!

I will DEFINITELY have to try this. Did you just call them or did you go through the website? I want to make sure I get this done as efficiently as possible. Thanks for your help!

My screen is completely black so I can’t see the settings.

Time keeps going by....and the brightness on my Charge 3 is still dim. I've got it up to the "top" using the settings but, steps and heart rate are almost impossible to see unless Im in a dark room....and how many of us exercise in a dark room?! Also, the size makes it an issue...make it large enough to see at a glance!

Hi There! They keep telling me they are aware of the issue and continue to work on it. Like you, I cannot remember having this issue with the other FitBit products and I have been using their products for a while now. I do wish they would correct the issue or compensate the users that are having the issue. It makes me want to venture out to their leading competitor!

Yup, thinking the same. Think that this is an important issue (Like HUGE as I can't access heart rate, steps etc) and yet we haven't had a response or a fix.

I had the same issue, kept getting worse until there was basically nothing - even in a completely dark room! I finally called support and they tried to troubleshoot, but when I told them I couldn't see anything, they just sent me a new one. As long as it's under warranty, you can either get a replacement or an upgrade. My new one is working perfectly!

After waiting several months with no improvement, I finally took my watch back to Harvey Norman who agreed that it was unusable and gave me a replacement as it is still under warranty. Unfortunately, the replacement quickly got a line across the display but at least I can read it! Will be making another trip back to Harvey Norman soon hopefully.

The display on my Fitbit Charge 3 has become more and more hard to see, even when fully charged. I tried to adjust the brightness (which was set at "normal,") and when it changed to "auto," the display became so dim that I cannot see anything at all! What do I do?

I went through the settings many many times and as it turns out there is just something wrong with my device. Customer support hook me up with a new one. And it works great.

You can’t change the settings when you can’t see them. I clicked Settings and can see nothing.
