The step counter on my fitbit 3 is not bright enough to see, if it was the same as the clock face there would be no problem, can it be done??

If I could see anything that would help, to even to be able to do? Fully charged to.

Go into a dark room to do this:
1. Double tap to “see” the front screen/time
2. Scroll to the right 3 times-swipe the screen toward the left 3 times
3. Tap the bottom half of the Fitbit watch face (Settings)
4. Tap the top section of the Fitbit watch face (Brightness) to see if you
can change the brightness. Choices are Normal, Auto, and Dim so tap several
times.
5. Hopefully you will be able to see the display. If not, contact Customer
Service or, depending on the age of your Fitbit, just purchase a newer
model or another brand. Mine was about 5 months old when I had issues and
it was replaced.

Extremely disappointed in buying the Charge 3! Would not recommend it to anyone as the display is so dim (unless you are inside a building) it is useless. Don't understand why how Fitbit can make device that is so smart but can't make it bright enough to see outside while using it. Then to continue to reply to so many complaint by telling people to "use the brightness adjustment feature",
is frustrating...

Thank you, but have already been thru that is trying to get it brighter. It is a poor design (flaw) where the "normal" is so dim in the daylight that you can not see it at all. Mine is only two weeks old and a disappointment as my prior model the "Surge" was great...

Sorry but "normal" setting is simply NOT bright enough to see. Need a "strong" or "brighter" setting even if that takes up more battery life!

I found the brightness control in Settings>apps but nothing happens if I tap or double tap or swipe the image in order to adjust it.

In that case, I would contact them by Chat or email from the website. They
may walk you through some things to try.

With my brightness set to auto it is now so dark nothing shows.
Did the reboot/reset - screen still black so can not see anything to go to a screen to select settings or anything else. Our 5th Fitbit - time for a different Manufacturer.

I never set my display to Auto. I leave it on Normal since I had issues
with it. I’m considering a new manufacturer for next watch myself. --

Ahh, finally a fix. Somehow my Fitbit changed it's brightness setting to dim. I know I didn't do it because before now, I didn't even know about the settings option in the menu.

I have tried the settings button and all three settings. My screen is not bright enough to see in daylight but works well when it is dark. I have to wear my regular watch also to see the time, very frustrating.
