The step counter on my fitbit 3 is not bright enough to see, if it was the same as the clock face there would be no problem, can it be done??

I am having the same brightness concerns. Especially when I am out in the bright sun light. I can not see even the time.

This was useless information I want to make the charge 3 bright enough to see and to lock that setting. I keep getting bumped to auto... OH MY GOODNESS noone can see that!

How can you adjust the brightness if you can’t read the screen?

How can I STOP getting all these responses?!!! The answer is obviously that this is a defect in this model (or ALL Fitbits?!) and/or they have no intention or ability to correct it.

Could you please explain how the "Auto" option works?

My screen is so dim, even in the dark, that I can barely see, and there are no options but Auto. Any way to do this on the app?

Mine is the exact same way. Started after the last update. It is so frustrating that I am wondering if the only fix is to get another brand and be done with Fitbit altogether.

The brightest option setting is inadequate for outdoor use. Since my activities all centered on being outside, what’s the point of owning a Fitbit? I’m no longer recommending this tracker to friends and family.

My husbands is out of warranty and is completely dark. I have been following these threads for a year now. Fitbit should replace items that are defective. I guess I could try to call.

Mine was out of warranty as well. I called fitbit support and they sent me a coupon for either 30 or 35% off(full price) , so I bought a Charge 4(still less than sale price). Hopefully it'll last longer than 18 months

Thanks for the tip. My watch still functions, it’s just useless outside where I spend most of my time. Plus it makes me sick that two of my sisters bought a charge 3 based on my recommendation. I’m thinking of switching to a Garmin. Best of luck to you!
