Can I turn off the Charge 4 altimeter?

Please inform us how to TURN OFF the altimeter for my Charge 4. It hasn't worked with any regularity in years and it just wears down the already short battery!

Hi @NKYrunner  the Charge 4 has no altimeter. 

 

EDIT: It does have an altimeter, which cannot be turned off. It is the Charge 5 which lacks the altimeter.

Charge 4 actually does have an altimeter. And I think it's its best feature - it's awesome to have when hiking in the mountains here in Hawaii on weekends. Elevation gained is usually one of the first stats i look at after finishing a hike. Mine has been pretty accurate (not ideal, of course), going on 2 years now. Unfortunately for the poster, i don't think there is a way to turn it off as it's an in-built feature and not accessible through settings or anything.
