Love my Fitbit but hate that my screen has cracked down the middle. I have not dropped it or done anything weird just put it in charge and woke up to a cracked screen. It seems to have warped and now I cannot read the time etc. still works and syncs to phone but cannot use it as a watch 😢 Seems to be a common occurrence with these watches. Can you get the screen replaced?

I'm totally fed up with Fitbit today.
My Charge 2 screen cracked EXACTLY like the picture that started this thread. It was already out of warranty and I didn't realize it was a known issue, but also knew I hadn't hit it on anything.
So I waited and ordered the Charge 3, which I got yesterday. I don't like it at all. It's like it was designed by someone who doesn't work out. The clock faces are extremely limited and the steps are harder to read.
I feel like I just bought a kid's tracker and I shouldn't have had to buy a new one at all. If they don't fix the faces in the next week or two, my Charge 3 is going back and I'll definitely replace it with a non-Fitbit product. I feel like the very least they should do is replace the Charge 2 at cost since it's their issue.

you cant Fitbit will only offer a replacement if it is within the 1 year after that you're done. and it will happen again to the replacement

Fitbit customer service expires when your warranty expires. What Fitbit doesn’t seem to realize is that one unsatisfied customer really equals a multitude of lost Fitbit sales as we share our complaints on Facebook, Twitter, Influenster, local paper letters to the editor, blogs (like Fitbit.com, Amazon, EBay, BestBuy, etc) and retail stores when we see complete strangers attempting to make the mistake of purchasing a Fitbit product. It is no wonder that The Apple Watch is the number one selling fitness watch.

Same thing here. I have a charge 2 for about 1 year and a half now, and the screen cracked. For no apparent reason I hardly take it off, but seems like Fitbit doesn’t care much about past customers. I called the customer service number, and after listening to a full conversation between agents in a different language they went ahead and put me on hold for at least 15 mins.
I got tired of saying “hello, hello”.. and then waiting on hold.. I had to hang up without talking to anyone. It’s just ridiculous that Fitbit isn’t interested on fixing their defective product. I bought 2 of these, but I’ll never do it again. Apple is getting my money now.

Hi, guys!
I love my fitbit and I love the app, I have my watch for almost a year. I thought it was my fault when the crack appeared on the screen one happy morning .I am a fixer upper, so I have been dealing with the issue using... scotch clear tape 🙂 It usually lasts a week and then I simply replace the tape.
I finally got to the point when my fitbit screen needs to be replaced. The crack keeps growing bigger, it is splitting into more cracks and seems like the screen is about to pop up. For the first time I decided to do a search - Where can I find a replacement for my tracker's screen and How can I do it myself?
After reading a few complains here I have realized - I did not do anything wrong to my tracker and this is a known issue for fitbit. If it is a known issue - is there any known solution for it (besides the tracker replacement)?
I do not have much time to read through all the comments. I just wanted to make sure I got it right: there is no a DIY screen replacement in this case, is it correct?
Thanks in advance.

Hi everyone. To answer some of your questions. There isn't a replacement kit for the Charge 2 screen (not from Fitbit nor third parties or at least I haven't heard about them). If you haven't contacted our Support team please do (a simple email should be enough to start the process if you don't want to invest too much of your time), they review every case so they may be able to help you in a way or another. Also check out the warranty page.
Let me know how it goes!

I'm not sure what happened to my original post, but a follow up to the same cracked screen problem.
Customer service has no fix. They offered to send me a $25 coupon which is ONLY good at their online store and ONLY good for 30 days. This is a waste because the Fitbit itself works perfectly. I'm pretty sure my next purchase will be with a company able to fix the screen.

My screen cracked after 4 months for no reason. I thought it was because I wore it to bed. I lost the whole thing yesterday because the band separated. I will not buy another Fitbit product.

Mine looks just like that. Plugged it in to charge and when went back to it there was a slight mark. In the warm weather it has got worse and is now a full crack.
can it be fixed?

Hello!! I have the same problem, my screen cracked last week, I didn't drop it, hit it or anything. There's a obvious crack right down the device, I contacted support, sent a photo and case number but they won't replace it. Can you please advise? Thanks!!

You have probably read the many blogs by now. It is quite clear that Fitbit will not do anything about the many, many cracked screens if your 1-year warranty has expired. It is frustrating because a $150 fitness watch should not be disposable after 1 year. Customer service will provide a 25% discount on another Charge 2 but why would a customer spend $100 plus on a device that we know is defective? Throwing good money after bad for a Fitbit product that has a known issue with the screen is not very smart. My advice is to purchase your next fitness watch from someone other than Fitbit.
