Love my Fitbit but hate that my screen has cracked down the middle. I have not dropped it or done anything weird just put it in charge and woke up to a cracked screen. It seems to have warped and now I cannot read the time etc. still works and syncs to phone but cannot use it as a watch 😢 Seems to be a common occurrence with these watches. Can you get the screen replaced?

Mine cracked after 13 months.  I chatted with Fitbit yesterday! Of course my warranty was out so all she could offer was a 25% discount!  Paula

My screen cracked as well on its own.  I emailed customer service and went back and forth over a course of a week or so sending pictures upon pictures with flash, without flash and of every angle possible.  I also had to send proof of purchase and from which source.  They sent me option to get just a replacement pebble or discount for a new Fitbit.  I chose a replacement and then got another email asking for several additional pictures.  Finally after 2 more emails and 10 more pictures they shipped something out to me.  I hope it’s not a poorly refurbished item which is what I have been reading here :-(.  In any case I may have to move to Apple.

They have now offered to replace just the pebble but with SILVER not the rose gold limited edition that I paid over $300 for, I am not happy, still discussing with them, will keep you posted...

It is disappointing to find that Fitbit treats their faithful customers this way.

It is also very confusing and they are stating the “pebble” has only ever come in silver, I don’t understand how they could not have considered the possibility that someone with limited edition colours of rose gold and gunmetal might need parts replaced??

So far in all the post, there is no solution to a cracked Fitbit versa screen. These are a few viable options other than getting a new Versa. Which I will recommend another brand!

Fitbit Versa Tear down

The issue here is that I can't find the Fitbit Versa replacement screen - so it doesn't make sense remove the broken screen/glass - unless I can get a replacement.

So I am still stuck at the broken screen!

Alternative if your glass is still viewable is to place a tempered glass over the cracked glass just to use the Fitbit versa.

Anyone with better options let us know!!!

One of the points of my post is that I'm amazed there is no option to replace a screen, regardless if it's paid for by warranty or the customer. So basically the Fitbit is an expensive, short-term use product.

I will continue to use the one I have until it either stops working or I can't read through the cracked screen anymore (the original crack down the middle is now branching out.) But the replacement will need to be a brand that stands by their product and has a way to be repaired.

I hope you are doin' great guys!

Sorry Heyday but you are missing the point. What most of us are unhappy about is the obvious, very consistent defect with the manufacturing of your screen. So far there's been no acknowledgement of this defect, and no talk on plans to make future versions better.

The second issue is that the only out of warranty option is "here's $25 now go out and buy a new, expensive Fitbit and throw your perfectly working Fitbit in the trash." I don't think I have to explain why this is a terrible option.

Considering the many, many negative posts I expected an official company response to be less generic and condescending, and more concerned about customer loyalty and satisfaction. If I was the moderator I'd be escalating this to the product owner or stakeholders, or someone who actually has the authority to address this.

I have over 50 responses to this post, all with the same issue. You have been useless with regards to helping with this cracked screen issue.
Fix or replace our cracked screens, otherwise we will tell all that will listen-never to buy a Fitbit

Once again through this post you show a poor attitude and lack of concern to the problems with your product.  Over 10 years as a customer Fitbit has not even tried to update their defective bands and now defective screen that breaks for no reason.  It is time to move on to a different fitness tracker product.

I have exactly the same; screen broke while sleeping and after that the screen slowly stopped working until it didn't work anymore. Funny thing is that it still records everything only the screen isn't working.

The store I bought it recommended to contact fitbit but the watch is also out of warrenty. Seems to be a common problem with fitbits >1 year. That is why they didn't recomment a new fitbit.

Mine cracked for no reason, same place as all the photos. I called fitbit today ( 2 year warranty in the UK) and I have a free replacement on the way. I could have had 50% off a different Fitbit.

That looks exactly like mine. Sudden crack down the middle. Mine is just over a year old. Too much money for that. Won't buy another one.

Yet another Charge 2 with a cracked screen for apparently no reason 😡

I had the same inexplicable crack appear. Also had to buy a third party band since the Fitbit band kept falling off. I wish it were a better built product, because I've found it to be useful otherwise. This known and widespread defect warrants a recall and free screen replacement!

My fitbit screen cracked too, I ended up getting a charge 3 because I got sick of looking at the cracked screen, this seems to be a universal problem and fitbit should then replace regardless of the warrantee

So, do you expect the same issue with the 3?
