I have a spare Fitbit Charge 2 that's still in good working condition, and I’m wondering if there are any concerns or limitations for my 6-year-old to wear it? I know there are kid-specific models like the ACE 3, but I’d like to make use of the tracker we already have, assuming I can find suitable bands. Has anyone else tried this or encountered any issues?

Thanks for getting back to us and for your question @Jerry416. I'll be glad to assist with your Charge 2 query.
Children can't wear a Charge 2 device and you won't be able to add it to a child's account. Some users add them with other age but, as @Odyssey13 mentioned, the information won't be accurate.
I would recommend not wearing it by your child.

Hi @Jerry416 children can't use the adult Fitbits unless you lie about their age. The stats would be off, too - heart rate, etc. There is a law COPPA, which is the reason Fitbit products have age limits.

Thank you for the input! I wasn’t aware that heart rate or other metrics might be inaccurate.
For some additional context, we bought an ACE 3 for my 6-year-old a few months ago, which is specifically designed for kids aged 6 and up. Setting it up was pretty straightforward, as we created a new member under Google Family and got everything working as expected. I was considering using the Fitbit Charge 2 as a backup in case my child loses or breaks the ACE 3. When you mentioned, "children can't use the adult Fitbits unless you lie about their age," were you referring to some kind of verification when adding the tracker to my child's account?
