Can't change name or username

I got my fitbit in January 2020 and I at first set one up for my mum so I put in her details on my phone but then put my fitbit on myy account and now I can't change my name or username everyone I try it says something like you can only change your name once in 60 days but I haven't been able to change it at all?

Let me help you with your name change. Seems that you used the same email address to initially setup your mother's Fitbit device. You will need to wait the required length of time to change your name on this account or you will need to delete it and set it up as a new account.

Hi, I have a similar issue. I was creating my account on my computer, as I had just recently received a Fitbit Charge 4, and my computer autofilled the First Name slot with my full name and then my last name was already entered. My display name was my full name with my last name repeated twice, which is obviously wrong and looks bad. I didn't realize this mistake until after it had already saved. I was unable to change my name through Fitbit online or on my iphone. I have an incorrect name all because of a little error. I chatted with customer service and they too were unhelpful and said that there was no way to override this 60 day rule. I am outraged and upset with Fitbit that they have this rule. It is ridiculous and should be changed. There are numerous scenarios where names need to be changed, not just because it was accidentally inputted wrong such as mine, or a change in ownership like yours. There is also name changes due to marriages or divorces, generic legal changing of names and probably a lot more other cases where it would be important for a user to change their name immediately. I am VERY DISAPPOINTED.

I have the same problem - autofill added my last name to both the first name and last name field. I am not allowed to fix it. 😣I would also like to change it from my legal name to the name I actually use so friends can actually find me.

The same thing with me, my mom made my account, and accidentally put her name on mine. So now my name is my mom's name. Now my versa 3 says good job ____ (my mom's name). It's weird for me because my friends have Fitbit and they see my mom's name.

I totally agree with you. I have the same problem although mine was ok at first but somehow, without my knowledge, it now displays my full name...

Hello,

My name isn’t showing up on my Fitbit One at all anymore. I sent it to someone to look at it, and when I got it back it just says, “Let’s go,” “cheers,” “hello,” etc. without my name. I had to reconnect it to my app and entered my name there, but it still says nothing. What do I do? Will my name show up again after 60 days? Do I need to reconnect it after 60 days? This is very confusing.
