Can't delete messages in the app

I have read that messages are supposed to delete after 30 days. I have a bunch of duplicate messages from 69 days ago and can find no way to delete them. Any help?

@bbran Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Sorry to hear that your messages are disappearing automatically after 30 days. Try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. Also if you are using an Android phone go to settings > apps > Fitbit and delete the apps cache there.

Sorry, must have been some confusion. The messages will not delete. The app is on an iPad.  We did log out and back in and they are still there.

I am not receiving New notifications because the ancient ones will not drop off. How do I edit, delete or remove old notifications?
