Can't enable GPS on Charge 3

So I just got the Charge 3 and I was going to go on a ski and it asked me to enable the GPS on my phone. So I go over to settings on my 6s and then go to the Fitbit app and it won't allow me to even go into the location services (it is grey and won't be able to click into it). This is frustrating because I want to know how far I skied because that is important to me.

Hey there @Ian777, it's nice to see you around here! I'd recommend trying what my friend @Marrrmaduke suggested.

See the steps below for instructions on checking the GPS-related settings on your mobile:

  1. First, make sure you can track your run, walk, or hike when you're out of Wi-Fi range:
    1. Open Settings and tap Cellular.
    2. Make sure Cellular Data is turned on.
  2. Next, ensure that your GPS can continue tracking when your phone is locked:
    1. Open Settings and tap General.
    2. Tap Background App Refresh, find the Fitbit app, and make sure it is turned on.
  3. Lastly, make sure your phone can identify your location:
    1. Open Settings and tap Privacy.
    2. Tap Location Services and make sure it’s turned on.
    3. Find Fitbit in the app list and make sure it's set to While Using the App or Always. If you choose the Always setting, MobileRun will automatically restart when unexpectedly interrupted.

@Ian777 Try reinstalling Fitbit mobile app. Once you log in again it will ask you to grant all permissions, location included.

@MarreFitbit  I am having issues getting location services enabled on my iPhone XR - I have followed all of the steps below, but cannot really complete because FitBit doesn't even show up on the list of applications allowed for Location Services. When I click on FitBit under settings, there is no option to turn on Location tracking. Suggestions?

Ok - in order for the FitBit app to ask for permission to use your location, you may need to start an exercise and attempt to connect while the app is open and awake on your phone - at this point the app asked for permission to access my location, not at the point of installation...

Fitbit doesn't show up under privacy/location services. Any idea why?
