Can't log food for previous dates on Fitbit app

Till recently it was possible to enter food intake into the App for previous days if you forgot, suddenly when you tap the food entry and select the previous day instead of bringing up details or that day it now refreshes back to the "home" screen .

I know you can enter retrospectively via the Main Fitbit . com But this is not as convenient

I have rechecked all settings 

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times 

I assume i am not the only one uses this feature

Let me help you with your issue logging food for previous dates. This is odd but thank you for troubleshooting this issue. I haven't seen reports about this but I suggest you log out from the app, restart your phone and log back in. Also which phone do you have  and which OS version is it running? Is the app up to date? Do you get any error message? Could you share a screenshot of what you see before you get the error?

I have a Huawei phone up-to-date latest version of Android plus I have
installed and reinstalled the app several times so all is up-to-date. The
issue has only started in the last month ish'. I have always used this
feature and method of entering food retrospective for previous day's with
no issues till recently. To re iterate the issue. I click on the enter
food + then scroll down to the day I want and tap the food symbol. At this
point the app returns me to the home screen where previously it would enter
the day chosen and show any existing food entries and the option to edit
and or enter more before logging . Screenshot is not possible .
