Can’t read Fitbit Charge 3 display

Hi,

I can barely read my Fitbit Charge 3 display in a dark room. It’s got progressively worse to the point the screen is near enough black constantly. I’ve tried going via the settings App to change the screen brightness but it’s made no difference. Is there anything else I can do? None of the discussion so far seem to have provided an answer and mine is at the point I can’t even read it indoors!

Mine is the same.  I’ve very disappointed in my Fitbit.

this is something a Fitbit Moderator posted to another member with the same problem.

 

"Please make sure that the Charge 3 is not set to Sleep Mode. Take into consideration that when Sleep Mode is activated, the screen's brightness is set to dim. 

 

If this is the case, please disable the Sleep mode. You can do this on the quick settings on your Charge 3 screen. Also, make sure to set the correct Brightness Setting, this can be found in the Setting App on your Charge 3. For more information about how to navigate your Fitbit device, please click here

 

Lastly, perform a restart by following the steps in this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?"

My fitbit charge 3 is barely visible at all as well. Settings doesn't do anything except give an option for total darkness which I can't believe would be a choice. Please advise. Thanks.

I totally sympathise. It’s a real pain. I hesitated massively but I
couldn’t find another exercise tracker I preferred and I ended up getting a
Charge 5 about over a year ago and I’ve had no problems so far. High risk
strategy I know and I hope not to be disappointed again.

I have the same issue.  Since we can barely (if at all) read the screen, all the replies telling us to find settings on the screen seem as though we are speaking another language.
