Can't restart my Charge 3

I have followed the instructions to reset the Charge 3. Put it in the charger, plug in the other end to an active USB port. Hold the button for 8 seconds. But no smiley face. Just a Fitbit symbol and a row of numbers. All data, all screens still there. Can anyone help?

 

Yes, it is properly in the charger.
