Can’t see display when outside with Charge 3

No matter what  display brightness setting i can’t see the charge 3 display while outside.  What can be done to fix this.  My current display brightness is Normal,  that seems to be the brightest, but it’s totally useless while outside.  Help!!!

I have this problem too - it is ok inside but I can't view it at all outside

Same here - can't see the display in the slightest brightness outside.  I use mine as a watch inside - can't see the display for running outside and can't auto track swimming.

There's no fix for this, so contact Fitbit Support and arrange a replacement.

Thanks, already have done.

I have had a Fitbit Alta for a few tears and have found the screen really difficult to read when outside. I have just been bought a Charge3 for Christmas and am concerned that this also has the same problem. Please can you advise before I use it. Thank you.

They eventually replaced the watch when the issue couldn’t be resolved. The replacement watch was fine. Although have to say that Garmin is still superior for vis ability outside. Won’t have another Fitbit.

Return it. I have been trying to get a solution for months and they just keep telling me they're working on it. I got a Galaxy Active 2 for Christmas and I love it. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

I’m having this problem...the screen has been fine for a year’ish but now can’t see anything outside ? Tried all the suggestion to no avail.

The issue does not seem to have ever been resolved. I went through Fitbit customer service to try to fix.  They sent me 2 other replacement units.  I have given up. I just wear my Fitbit now to track my steps  since it is useless as any type of training watch for outside.

I don’t use mine at all now. I went back to Garmin; far superior, clear display and has GPS built in so no need to take your phone with you .

I don't use mine anymore either. Never could get any help from Fitbit. After months of "we're working on it" I gave up and got a Samsung active. So much better. Due to the lack of service I will never own another Fitbit. Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Ran a social distance 5K today and my Charge 3 did not track. I cannot see the display outside and was swiping and pressing from memory. Couldn’t turn in my results. I’m over not being able to use the display outside.

Display is still not visible when I am outside

Has this issue been rectified? I’m considering purchase of two charge 3 trackers...

Not sure if this has been said yet, but I believe the sleep settings will affect the brightness of the unit(even when the brightness is set to brightest). If you turn off the sleep monitoring the screen should be at it's brightest..

It has not been resolved. Every time I reached out to Fitbit I would get an email saying they are working on the issue.

I’ve set the intensity to “auto” as suggested, and it does help in the bright sun. But when running, it’s still so dim it’s impossible to read. Personally I would not go this route again, especially if you’ll be using it outdoors a lot.
