I have just purchased the Charge 3.
I followed the installation instructions and it immediately installed the firmware.
The screen brightness setting (by default, was dim when it turned it first time) is so low I cannot see a **ahem** thing in full darkness. (8:25pm in Canada under my bed). This is ridiculous. I will wait till morning to see if the setting is on auto and will turn the brightness up so I can at least read the screen and change the setting to permanently be on max but it should never go this dim that I cannot even use it. I can just make out the first number of the clock and can tell that when I change the clock via the app it changes but I cannot for the life of me read anything else.

Are you sure the screen display is actually on? It is not an always-on display,
Auto takes into account ambient light, and works well for me, though some still find it too bright in bed at night,

This is affecting me too. For a few weeks now the brightness is so low I cannot see the screen, I can just about make out that the time is showing, but can't see enough to go through the menus to look for brightness settings. I'm not sure if this was since the last update, but it has rendered my fitbit useless.
Any suggestions would be much welcomed!

Just to mention, I have connected the watch to my laptop and done a restart, this has not solved the issue.
