I can see someone has sent me a text message but am no longer able to read message?  This feature worked b4 now not working

I have this same problem and I'm being told its because my phone, samsung galaxy note 8, is no longer compatible. do you have the same phone moddel?

No I have pixel 2? I hope that's not it! I was hoping to get messages back working
