Can't set up Charge 3

Yesterday my Charge 3 suddenly started to vibrate constantly and change screens erratically. I looked through advice given to others with similar issues here in the community pages. I restarted my fitbit at least 10 time and it just continued to do behave oddly. One advice I saw was to try changing the clock face, however my fitbit wouldn't sync right and the clock face was never fully installed. I ended up letting my fitbit just run out of battery and plugged it back in this morning. The erratic vibrations and screen changes stopped, but my fitbit wouldn't sync with my phone. It was connected, because it would update my steps and even show my heartrate, but would say it wouldn't sync. I noticed that the watch face was still trying to install into the tracker. But there is no way for me to cancel the installation, and i thought maybe the tracker wasn't syncing because of it. I tried letting it finish the installation but it would say it was unable to complete and try again. So, I tried restarting my fitbit multiple times, I restarted the app. I deleted and reinstalled the app...and it still would not sync. Eventually, in my desperation I thought that maybe if I unpaired and repaired my tracker it would stop trying to install the other watch face. So I unpaired it. When I try to repair it, my phone connects to the app via bluetooth, and the 4 digit number I need to enter appears on my tracker screen. When I enter the number I get the message "The operation couldn't be completed. (Devicebit.PairValidatorTrroe error 1.)" What should I do to get my tracker to pair again?

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @KSulley.

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you experienced with your Fitbit Charge 3. Thank you for trying to get them resolved before contacting us.

Our team has recently released a new version of the Fitbit app (3.52 iOS and 3.52.1 Android). For instructions on how to check your current version and update, please visit this article and open the menu "How do I update the Fitbit app?".

If your app is up to date, please try the following:

- Log out from the Fitbit app

- Reboot your phone and restart your Tracker.

- Log back into the Fitbit app

- Set up your Tracker as a replacement device:

  1. Tap the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1642554356272.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

If the instructions shared above don't work, you can follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve set up issues.

Hope this helps.
