Can’t sync Charge 4 with iPhone XS

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve done:

  • updated the app
  • restarted the phone
  • restarted the fitbit
  • uninstalled the app and installed again

The Fitbit died. I put it on charge. After charging to the full, the time was off. I tied to sync and it told me to update the app. I still get the messages that come to the phone on the Fitbit tho. Pls see above what I’ve done.

Could someone share of they were able to fit the similar issue. Thanks!

Welcome to the forums @Andrei_thegreat.

Thank you for sharing the details regarding this situation with your Charge 4. I'm sorry to know the difficulty that you are experiencing.

Please confirm if you've tried the troubleshooting described here. If that's correct, may I know if you've used another phone to sync your Sense? I'm asking this as if both mobile devices are nearby, they'll interfere with the syncing process. Assuming that applies to you, I'd suggest removing your watch from the Bluetooth settings from that other device, and trying these other steps:

  1. Turn off the Bluetooth on your iPhone and any other device nearby.
  2. Check one more time -just to confirm- if the Fitbit app is updated on your iPhone.
  3. Force quit the Fitbit app on both mobile devices.
  4. Restart your tracker one more time.
  5. Turn on the Bluetooth only on your iPhone and open the Fitbit app.
  6. Tap your phone picture (on the top left side of the screen) > Set Up a Device > Charge 4 and follow the on-screen instructions.

I have the same problem with a Pixel 7 since the last fitbit app update on October 17. I have tried all troubleshooting solutions, nothing worked. I wrote to the support by email and am waiting for an answer:

"Since the last upgrade of my Fitbit android app, the app can't synchronize with my Charge 4 watch anymore.

I've tried reinstalling the fit bit app, it didn't change anything.

Then I've tried deleting the charge 4 from the devices on the fitbit app. Now when I try to add a new device one the app, it detects the charge 4 and then the watch shows the 4 digit sync code as it should. I enter the code on the app, it tries connecting but it stays on the connection screen with the 4 digit code I entered and keeps loading forever saying it's taking longer than usual to connect. It never succeeds.

I have a Pixel 7 phone with android 14.

The fitbit app is the lastest version available in France, the 4.02.1 of october 17th.

The watch is a Charge 4."
