Hello @bodink and welcome to the Community.  I looked at your profile and can see that you are a long time Fitbit user.  The Charge 4, like all current Fitbit models, is only compatible with an Android or iPhone that meets the minimum OS.   Mac users have always needed Fitbit Connect to sync.  The Charge 4 isn't compatible with Fitbit Connect and Fitbit Connect was deactivated last month.
