My Charge 3 buzzes for every single gmail message I get. Truly annoying, and NOT something I want. I've turned off every notification setting in the Fitbit app and still they come rolling in. Nothing like having your watch chirp at you all day long. Does anyone know how to remove this feature?

having same problem, turn it off, and just turns back on, email notifications. Going to try the uninstall, reinstall of the app.

I continuously keep turning off the email notifications on my charge 3 and it turns them back on within 15 minutes. I have reset it twice now by connecting it to the charger and pressing the button until the smiley face appears, but that isn't helping. Please help make it stop!!!!!!!!

This seems to be a known issue that Fitbit are working on. Keep an eye on the following thread where they are posting updates:

I think I realized what the problem is and FitBit is going to have to fix it on their end. When you click on each of the notification options under the main "Notifications" page (Calls, Text Messages, Calendar Events, Emails), it also automatically checks the app on the "App Notification" list as well. So, if you elect to get calendar notifications from Outlook or Gmail, it checks that box in "App Notifications", which is problematic because there are not separate options for getting email or calendar notifications. As soon as I unchecked getting calendar notifications I stopped getting email notifications.

I have a Charge 2. I have tried this multiple times to turn off consistent buzz (notifications on/off). Nothing else is being tracked. It does not work. I tried cleaning the connections with isopropyl alcohol. Nada. This isn’t that old a watch. Is there a real person somewhere to talk through? Or is it time to drop Fitbit (second model I have had to have replaced multiple times...) for an Apple...?

I had the same problem, with notifications continuing despite being disabled, even after restarts & syncs.
SOLUTION: Enable the notifications in the app, then disable then again.
(This is a BUG in the Fitbit sync process. It loses track of the notification state )
