Can you download the Fitbit app on PC?

about 2 weeks ago i got a fitbit charge 2 for my gym class in college. i need to track exercises weekly and i can do running and walking on the phone app but logging anything from the workout on the watch is not possible. i spoke with fitibit customer support and they gave a bunch of options that did nothing. then they had the audacity to offer me a 35% discount on my next order. so my professor proposed the idea of trying to download the app on my laptop and seeing if that works but for some reason when i go to google store it says ineligible. does anyone know why you can only download the fitbit app on phones and no pc?

Hi @chrisooo13   Sorry, but Fitbits can only sync with the Fitbit app on a compatible Android or iPhone.  You might think about using that discount for a current model.  The Charge 2 was discontinued in 2018 and is an outdated legacy device.

There was a PC option, but that was deactivated some time ago.

But it allows me to sync jogging, when initiated through the app on my phone, I just can't sync from watch to phone

@chrisooo13   When you start your run in the phone app, the step data comes from your phone's motion sensors, not your Fitbit's.

This issue started about 10 months ago with the Charge 2.  It is an unsupported, legacy device, so I don't think it will get fixed.

Hi Chris, I have a Charge 2. Since 2015. After 2 years, I had an issue. I did not realize that the warranty was only for about 2 years. I was sent 1 as a courtesy at a discounted price. I have the app on my Samsung Galaxy A14G phone as well as my Laptop which I have had for 2 years. Try again!! I'm not sure if it is the New app, but I had No problem. I just walked through it. I use Chrome. In the browser type in Fitbit. It will take you to the homepage then click on Google Play. It even showed that I had the app installed on an old Verizon phone that has rescued me many times. I will never get rid of it. Although Charge 2 is old I like how it works. Make sure you are on the computer because it is showing me that I already have the app on my old phone. I have it on my latest phone and my laptop
