Is there a setting to put my fitbit into sleep mode so it doesn't track activities? I can't wear it when riding my motorcycle since it picks up the vibrations and counts them as steps. Thanks

No, but you can submit it in the feature suggestion. Click the 3 bars and scroll down and you will find it

@jonnyrock Thanks for stopping by! Like @BananaMagic said you can't place the tracker in sleep mode so you can follow his suggestion. In the meantime you can manually log a driving activity following @Mcore's instructions to negate these steps. You can also try using the DriveBit app (at least on Android not sure if it is available for iOS users) to log these activities.
Let me know how it goes!
