Cant stop excersice, stuck on Silent Mode/Notificasion screen

Started stare clime exercise.  Could not stop.  Tried tapping.holding.  I can swipe between different screens.

 

Now I'm stuck on Silent Mode/Notification screen.  not quite sure how I got there.

 

So 2 questions.

  1. How do I stop an exercise
  2. How do I get out of screen i am stuck on

Got back to normal screen but periodically it still brings up exercise times.
