Changing activities from "run" to "walk"

Hi

I logged some exercise today using my wristband (Charge 2) as runs to ensure that I could get GPS traces through it logging on my phone. However, they weren't runs, they were walks, and I want to change them to be walks not runs, either through the phone app (Android, Nexus 6P) or via the website. Is there a way to do this?

PS I am aware that in my exercise shortcuts on my tracker I could have had "walk" as one of the shortcuts, but I didn't set it up until I found the option to in "Settings" once I had already completed the exercises, and the events had synced to my account.

Sorry @geejaytee i dont see the option to edit the title. I checked one of my walks amd don't see an edit pencil.

The good news is that the difference between Run and Walk is only in the name.

From dashboard online go to the exercise you logged, in the upper left there is a "activities list"  click and go to the list.  There is a pencil icon next to the activity in your case "run"  click the icon...change to walk.

You can also change it to walk in the app. Tap the exercise tile and go to the exercise logged, at the top look for "category exercise" tap and change to walk

@schmict this works as long as the exercise was aut detected by the tracker, or thd user use tye manual mode call workout. Neither wkll give a map or distance.

On iphone fitbit app  I tapped on "Setting" (Left top corner), I then tapped on Charge 2 "Tile", I scrolled down the list until I got down to the  "Exercise Shortcut", and tapped the Tile, I then tapped on Walk, If Track and app are set up correctly they should both connect to GPS. Before starting walk, press the Charge 2 track side button until you see the "Run" tile. Tap on top of the display screen, you should see Threadmill, tap on top of the display screen again you should see Bike, and, tap on top of the display screen one more time, you will see Walk. Hold Tracker side button for approximately 2 -3 seconds It will Show both the pic of a phone and a miles icons, timer should star. When you have completed your walk, press and hold side button on tracker until finished is displayed

Hello @sajaba26 there is no need to start the walk tracking from both the fitbit app and the Charge 2.  Either way, by itself will work.

The advantage of the app is that the user may choose to receive audio clues, while using the Charge 3 the clues will be on the watch with a vibration.
