Hi Everyone,

 

I've been using my Charge 2 for about a week now and have done several runs, walks and hikes with it. I noticed that after tracking my runs with Connected GPS they were displayed as "Walk" so I decided to check out the forum.

 

I found out that I wasn't the only one with this problem and that I have to select "Run" the next time I track a run, since by default it states "Walk". I even found out that "Hike" is also a type of exercise, which means my hikes have also been logged as "Walk". I also noticed how it's possible to edit the type of exercise that was automatically logged by my Fitbit. However, it isn't possible to change the activity type of exercise that I've tracked myself.

 

It would be nice if users were to change the type of exercise if they've accidentally forget to put it on the right type.

 

A solution to providing faulty entries might even be changing the app's UI, making it more obvious to users that they have to manually select the type of exercise. Or not asking the user for the type of exercise prior to tracking it, but after and in a more obvious way. You could possibly even auto-detect the type of exercise using its data.

 

I wonder if you guys are aware of this and if you are working on a solution already? If yes: when can Charge 2 users expect a fix?

I used to be able to change the name of any activity  on my charge hr, on the app, but now on the charge 2, I can't change anything. I used to log yoga and change it to meditation or I'd accidently forget to stop my workout and I could change the end time. Now I can't change anything. Very dissapointing.

Apparently, Fitbit doesn't find our issue important enough to answer.

@J0B @ucspeech Welcome to our Community! While you can't rename all type of activities at this time you can vote for the idea in our Feature suggestions board. This way you are telling the developers about your interest in this idea/feature and they may be able to implement it.

Hi,

 

I have a similar problem except my walks all default to run . I use the app to track my walks, but even though I have selected 'walk' on the app before I start tracking, the activity still appears as 'run' in my records. I have tried to change this on the app (apparently you can only delete on the dashboard, not edit), but I when I click on the activity to edit there is no pencil (edit) icon, only the bin and the share icons.

 

a) how can I change the default name of the walk that is tracked?

b) how can I edit the name of a previously tracked walk? I suspect that this is not possible if I track the walk form the app rather than my device - please confirm?
