I set the fitbit for my right wrist but I've noticed that it records way too many steps as I'm right handed so records every time I move the arm. Cooking dinner last night added 1200 steps!
I want to wear the fitbit on the other wrist. When I set it up originally I remember having to state which wrist I would wear it on. Do I need to factory reset in order to do this? or can I simply switch wrists?

Hey @LKJ65, welcome to the Forums! If you wear your Charge 2 on your dominant hand, it'll record more steps that are not actually steps because it is the hand that you use the most, to the tracker will pick those movements as steps. I urge you to take a look at the information in this post which explains how wrist Fitbit trackers record steps.
In order to change wrist settings, on the Fitbit app, you just need to go to "Account" > "Charge 2" > "Wrist orientation" and there choose left or right depending on which one is your non dominant hand. There is no need to do a factory reset or even a restart, just sync your tracker when you are done with those changes and that's it. 😉
Let me know the outcome!

I wear mine on my left hand (right handed), still records WAY to many steps. Accuracy is not the forte of this device.

Hey @Shakeydeal, it is cool to see yo around more often! Let me ask you this, are you doing some activities that require a lot of hand movements? Or do you spend a lot of time driving, specially on bumpy roads? If this isn't the case let me suggest you to perform a restart of your Charge 2 by following these instructions.
Let me know how it goes!

Hello @kraftys, it is great to see new faces around! If you'd like to change the wrist position, please do the following:
- Go to "Account"
- Click on "Charge 2"
- Click on "Wrist position" and select your dominant
- Don't forget to sync your tracker to save the changes
Let me know if that helps!
