Charge 2 BPM is not working - just showing -- dashes

After I restarted  as suggested by customer support, still my watch is not showing the heart rate and now it just doesn´t hold the charge. After 17 months my fitbit shows serious problems. They just offered me a 40% discount on the most expensive watch and 25% on the other versions. Terrible quality and bad customer service. Very disappointing.

@SunsetRunner, welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry for the delay in my reply.

Let me help you with your Charge 2 not recording heart rate and its battery draining quickly and thank you for reaching out to our Support team. For the battery try cleaning the contacts using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this, restart your device and see how it behaves. You can also find additional suggestions here.

Regarding your heart rate I suggest you clean the back of your device with cotton and rubbing alcohol and restart it. Turn the heart rate off, save and sync then turn it on save and sync again. Also check these tips to improve the heart rate reading on your device.

Let me know how it goes.

I’m having similar problems since tuesday.

i have updated my Charge 2, but this didn’t help.

i also tried to do the above steps (turn off heart rate, sync, etc...), but this didn’t help either... any other suggestions?

best regards,

Tom

thanks Tom.

May I ask you how old is your watch?

Mine is 17 months, and doesn´t work anymore. I am very disappointed with the quality and guarantee policy of this company.

Hi,

My watch is about 27 months old. A bit older than yours, but I expected a longer life for the watch...

So mine is out of guarantee, bit I’m guessing there is a software problem. Hopefully they can solve it...
