Charge 2 Blank Screen But green lights on

Charge 2 screen went black. The green lights on still. I tried charging, restarting but no luck. It vibrates and shows working on app. Any ideas???

I just experienced the same problem though the heart rate charting is not always continuous.  I sweat easily and because of climate usually wear long sleeves.  I think water vapor from my sweat had built up inside the charge 2 display and shorted the display out but has not affected the other internal components.  Look carefully at the display and you may be able to see a cloudy area on the screen.  I think in my case it is moisture.  I now have a newer water resistant version.

I charged my Fitbit last night and when I took it off the charger the display showed the full charge but now the screen is completely black/blank. I have no clue what happened. Can you assist please?

If it is less than a year old put the warranty request in. Otherwise support will give a discount on a new charge 3.

Thanks for the reply. I think my unit is just over a year old. I am not interested in spending any money on a new one. I just want the one I already bought to work.

I did not have success in restoring my screen. I continue to use it with
my app because it still downloads data to it and it vibrates on alarm
settings. I would recommend you follow the reset instructions or open a
chat on the fitbit website to have them walk you through it and check your
warranty. I would recommend you not cover it with long sleeves when
exercising or sweating. I think water vapor may penetrate the case and
condense inside shorting the screen. This shouldn't be a problem with
future models like charge 3 since they are water resistant.

Thank you for the feedback on this. I think its shot. None of the
troubleshooting steps seem to have worked.

I have work up to the same issue this morning. I had this before about a month ago and the reset worked but this time.no such luck. It doesn't restart when I plugged it in I saw it connect and say charge with the battery show on it. When i went to get it off charge it wouldn't light up. Any ideas would be great

I never did fix the problem and ended up receiving a Charge3 as a Christmas gift. Fitbit did offer a 40% discount on a new Fitbit but I never took advantage of it.

The other day my Charge 3 screen was blank and I had to reset it as well.

I did everything Fitbit told me to do it wouldn’t show the screen I contacted Fitbit they gave me the option to get a new Fitbit or a discounted on a new charge 3 I choose the charge 3

In any case I would chat with someone at fitbit. They may be able to get
you a discount on a replacement if you are out of warranty. I .got one and
upgraded to an Ionic. Just got it last night and I think I am going to
really like it.

Thanks! I did call support. They offered me a discount since I'm just
outside of my warranty. Although, I am not likely to spend more money on a
new device to potentially have the same thing happen in just over a yr. I'm
really disappointed about this process.

I have looked through all of this forum and tried all of the different ways of resting my Fitbit charge 2. It's started to lose parts of the screen then the information turned upside down and the screen went off everything else works fine apart from the screen. Has anyone managed to fix this problem or do you have to get it exchnage for a new one?

If someone has solved it I haven't seen their post, but since I upgraded to
an Ionic I am not looking either. My family has bought several fitbits, 3
HRs, 3 Charge 2s and now an Ionic. Fitbit has always replaced problems
under warranty no problem or given me a good discount to replace the out of
warranty items (from online chat with support). I guess its probably best
to think about these as most do their cell phones and upgrade often though
I am still using my iPhone 4 I bought new 9 years ago :-). The Ionic gives
me GPS on the go since I have its app on an iPad which won't work on my old
iPhone.

I think the screen problem is due to moisture getting in. I sweat very
easily and my long sleeves would get dripping wet and they were over my
charge 2. I think I can see a mist of moisture on the inside of the screen
which probably shorted it out. Charge 3 and Ionic are water resistant so
my sweat shouldn't be a problem in the future. If you go online, chat with
fitbit and get an out of warranty discount I would recommend the Ionic, but
if you have a newer phone and run with it the charge 3 is also good.

I've only have the Ionic 4 days but am really glad I got it.

I have tried all the troubleshooting and nothing works I am having the same issue where the screen is blank it vibrates and the green lights are on

Same thing here. The screen for my Charge 2 has a blank screen while the green lights are on. I have tried the recommendations and posts from this thread but it did not help.
