Charge 2 Blank Screen But green lights on

Charge 2 screen went black. The green lights on still. I tried charging, restarting but no luck. It vibrates and shows working on app. Any ideas???

Has anyone found a fix for this issue?

 

My 11 year old is really upset that his Fitbit 2 went blank on him.  The green lights are still blinking, so he's still holding on to hope that it can be fixed. 

 

I've done all the listed troubleshooting steps on this and nothing.

Sorry but no. See if customer service will help. On a new one. Buy only water proof models.

There are seven pages on this topic. There seems to be an underlying issue with the Charge 2. Mine did the same thing. It still links with my phone and tracks everything. The screen is dead. I've tried everything mentioned in this thread with no luck. If Fitbit doing anything about this?

My Fitbit Charge 2 vibrated today and went blank.  I charged it fully and tried to restart it several times.  The app shows that it is fully charged but nothing is showing on the screen.  I have tried everything that was mentioned in this message but nothing is happening.

 

I just sent a message about my Fitbit Charge 2 going blank.  I wanted to add that the green lights are flashing on the back and it vibrates when I try to restart it but it still is blank.  It also shows that it has synced in the app.

I have tried all the remedy's suggested but the screen stay blank. Green light on and vibrates when the button is held on. Is the another way to get the screen working on the charge 2

To cut things short. 

Fitbit replied several times to me via email. 

Basically asking me to try changing the display format and restart. 

Both didnt work for me. 

And then, they ask for purchase date

If yours is bought more than 1 year ago, nothing can be done. 

In Singapore, there is also no official repair center, so they can't help as well.

Now I am considering switching to other brand with a support center OR i will sent it for repair in some unofficial repair shop depending on the cost.

I don't think there is any repair for this type of device. I suspect water
damage. Only action I can recommend is to go to the FitBit web site and
open a chat box to discuss options with them. They are good at replacing
under warranty and may offer a good discount on a current water resistant
to 50M Charge 3. I upgraded to an Ionic that way which is a pretty nice
device.

I woke up yesterday morning and my screen was black.  I normally get a notification if the battery is dead.  Checked my app and it was fully charged but blank screen.  I have tried all of the troubleshooting steps including cleaning and nothing.  I contacted support and they basically told me it was out of warranty and offered me a 25% discount.  I am not to happy now.  If anyone else has any troubleshooting that I have not tried or been listed please let me know.

 

Was your still under warranty because mines is not and they will not replace.

 

You would think they would replace as this is a known problem.  All of my lights are green, vibrates when put on charger, charges and still tracks steps.

Fitbit no longer makes a Charge 2. They are not willing to exchange broken
Charge 2's for the 3's unless in warranty (If you call, they will provide a
small discount). Just the way it is, garbage customer service. Last Fitbit
device I will own after being a loyal customer for 4+ years.

No they are doing nothing.  They are only offering a 25% discount on a new one.  At this point I am not impressed why would I want to buy another. They know this is an issue and they just do not care.

With social media what it is today, everyone on this thread should share the link here and spread the word. Fitbit obviously is aware there is a problem with their technology  They're counting on people just buying a new one. That's what I did when my Charge HR failed one month out of warranty. Not again!!

My screen went blank overnight and I’ve reset it but didn’t fix it.  I’ve had multiple Fitbits over the years and they never last long. Very disappointing.

I wouldn't buy a charge 2 either. They are no longer made. The newer
versions I think have solved this problem, at least I haven't heard of a
Charge 3 with this problem.

Every Chrysler I've bought had air conditioning problems and cost hundreds
of $ right after the warranty expired. Some less than 1000 miles over yet
my wife keeps buying them, over 9 so far. Other parts failed later
consistantly the same things at similar mileage. They never offered me 25%
off the next one. Maybe you have better luck with other products out of
warranty than 25% off on new?

I do not work for Fitbit I'm not sure what gave you that impression.

 

I am disappointed but going another route next time.

Hi I’ve woken up to a black screen 🙁 it is fully charged and my green lights are on it vibrates when I plug in and I’ve tried resetting it to no avail, tried a different USB port and nothing. Gutted, I love my Fitbit charge 2 can it be repaired???

As of today, my FitBit Charge 2 screen went snowy prior to completely going blank. I did the reset accordingly in this forum and still cannot revive my screen.
