Charge 2 Current Heart Rate not showing in Fitbit app.

Hello all,

I got my Charge 2 yesterday and in the app it onky shows the resting heart rate and two dashes for where active must be.

It syncs everything else fine and when I click on the heart rate it shows the graph.

I have a Huawei P20 Lite, which has issues ai know, but I did install "fitbit sync service" as suggested on other forum posts. And everything else seems to be syncing fine so I don't think it's that.

It did very briefly show the active heart rate last night for about 5 minutes. Charge 2 not showing active heart rate

I have also tried logging out, force closing the app, turning off Bluetooth, turning off the phone, turning it back on, turning Bluetooth back on and logging back into the app. As that was suggested in another post.

Then on the actual fitbit Charge 2, it seems to only show the current heart rate, which I assume is correct? Or is it supposed to show resting heart rate on the device as well?

@CarlaSpaceWolf Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!

Let me assist you with your live heart rate data. Lets try to refresh the link between your phone and your tracker by going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on. You can find additional suggestions here.

Regarding the tracker, it will show your live heart rate data as it is what is reading it.

On a side note are you one of the Emperor's servants (based on your nickname) or it isn't related to the Warhammer 40k universe?  If it is then: "For Russ and the Allfather!". If it isn't then please pay no attention to this paragraph (Warhammer is a table top game if you don't know anything about it so no offense is intended with this).

Let me know how it goes.

Thanks Alvaro!

I tried everything you suggested bytstill no luck. I still only get the 2 dashes where current hear rate should be.
I think it syncs with bluetooth fine as it tracks my exercise and sleep etc, just not current heart rate. So maybe some kind of refresh rate issue?
I did select all day sync and have made heart rate set to "on".

I mean it's not the end of the world, all my other starts are tghere, just annoying to see those two dashes and know that there is something not working as it should, haha!

And as for Warhammer, no my name is not related, I'm more of a Magic the Gathering kind of gal 😉

@CarlaSpaceWolf thank you for your update. Please try logging out from the app, restart your phone and log back in (kind of similar to what you have done before but not exactly the same).

I have never played Magic although I had the intention to learn it (at least play the computer version).

Keep me posted.

Hey Alvaro,

I have tried that. That was actually the first thing I did.
Since the last set of things you had me try it does now show the current heart rate intermittently. Let's say once every 15 times I check the app. I am yet to find a common denominator of when it does show it, and when it doesn't.

You totally should try the new PC version, it's really great 🙂
