I bought my Fitbit Charge 2 in July 2018. Since the first use the Fitbit battery has only lasted 2 days, despite product information indicating it should last 4 to 5 days. I really only use it during the day to check the time, don't connect to my app daily (it can be a week before I check my app) so it's not syncing daily. I don't understand why it has such a short battery life. It's very frustrating when at work my Fitbit dies and I can't check the time, I am a PE teacher and rely heavily on the time to conduct my lessons effectively. It charges properly, I charge it to full but it still lasts only 2 days. Help please?

@Tocks A warm welcome to our Community! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 battery is draining quickly. Try cleaning the contacts including using cotton with rubbing alcohol then charge it by plugging it for a couple of hours directly to your computer's usb port (try different ports) or use an UL listed usb wall adapter. After this restart your device and see how it behaves.
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for the advice. I have done this today so see how it goes, however, my band has now just broken (the plastic inside where the bad attaches to the watch is broken) so I guess we will see how it goes without being attached to my wrist.
