Hello,
I recently purchased an Oppo Reno2 Z.
Previously with my Sony Xperia I had frequent issues with the GPS not connecting. Do remediate this I would have to uninstall and reinstall the app. Sometimes this would be on a daily basis.
With the Oppo everything was working perfectly for about two weeks and now I have a similar problem. Sometimes the GPS won't connect to begin with, other times I look at my Fitbit during exercise and the GPS has disconnected.
To correct this issue I have tried many times and in a variety of orders:
1. Restarting my fitbit.
2. Turning Bluetooth on and off
3. Unpairing/re-pairing Fitbit with phone
4. Restarting phone.
5. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
Restarting the phone seems to be the most consistent way of getting it back up and running but then it can drop out again 10 mins later.
I have observed both with my Sony and Oppo that when the Fitbit is connecting correctly my notification bar has a permanent Fitbit notification that says: "Fitbit Sync Service - Last Synced: date/time." I can't swipe that message away BUT if it's not there the Fitbit won't connect correctly.
I'd appreciate some assistance on this one.

@snorus Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry for the delay in my reply.
Let me help you with your GPS signal being lost and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Try refreshing the link between your phone and your tracker by doing the following:
The message you mentioned is normal and shows the app not being killed by a battery saver app but always check if there is a time limit or any other restrictions on it.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks so much for your response.
I have done the steps you suggested. I did find power saving mode was on so hopefully that's it.
I have done a quick check at home and it seems to be working.

Hi Alvaro,
To follow up on this.
After following your instructions I had done a quick check and the GPS seemed to be working properly again.
The next time I went on a proper walk I started GPS. All good. Checked half way: still working. Checked 30 mins in and it had disconnected. Interestingly the Fitbit notification on the phone said it was connected to GPS but it wasn't.
Since then, on every walk I've been on the GPS has disconnected sometime during the walk.
Do you have any further suggestions on what might be causing this?
Thanks,
Eleanor

I'm having the same problem. My Fitbit starts out connected to my phone but loses the connection sometime during my route. It does this both with walking and biking. In addition, when it does work, it will give me different mileage for the same route.
Would love a solution!
Thanks!
