Charge 2: Not receiving Sleep Insights on Fitbit app in Swedish

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I just realized that there is supposed to be a function called "sleep insights" on my Charge2. Howevver, I never received any message of that kind for the 1 1/2 years that I have had my device. Apart from that it has worked very well.

My Charge2 has been set to "get sleep insights" all the time. I have now tried to turn the function off and on and have synced several times, but this doesn't change anything. The time zone was previsously set to automatic, but I have now changed it to not automatic. Time zone is Stockholm, country Sweden, the language is Swedish (this I believe came automatically when I first set up the device, I see no way of changing it). Could it be that Fitbit doesn't offer sleep insights in Swedish? I noted that another user managed to turn the function on by changing the language, but I don't seem to be able to do that.

Please, does anyone know a fix for this?

Hello @rockpool it's nice to see you again posting in our Community, let me give you a hand with your sleep insights inquiries.

Let me share with you that our Sleep insights feature in the Fitbit app provide personalized guidance on how to improve your sleep for better overall health. The more sleep you log, the more insights you’ll receive, but you may not receive a new insight each day. However, seems odd that you haven't received any Sleep insight. That being said, first, I would like to know if your Fitbit app, your mobile device and your Fitbit device are up to date? Also, can you please confirm if you're receiving Sleep stages normally? The Fitbit app language should not affect this feature, but in the meantime you can change the language to English and let me know if this resolved it.

I'll be looking to your reply. Please keep me posted.

Thanks for your reply RicrdoFitbit.

I always keep my Fitbit app updated to the latest version (no arrow to tap).

My mobile device (iphone 7) has also always been updated to the latest version (at present IOS 12.2)

My Fitbit device  number is 22.55.2

The language has been Swedish since I got the device. I have not been able to change this, but this shouldn't really change things anyway, should it? (even though I read in an earlier thread that changing from Swedish to English had helped another user).  Timezone is set to Stockholm. Place Sweden. Have now changed to United Kingdom, but this has not changed the language. I read somewhere that I should "follow instructions to change the language", but have not been able to find these instructions.

I have always received sleep stages normally.

I found the instance where the Swedish user, Vanillito

mentioned the same thing (that the Swedish app seems to be missing the sleep insight function). When asked by she also posted screenshots of her sleep records for the same day in Swedish and English. https://community.fitbit.com/t5/iOS-App/Swedish-version-of-the-app-is-missing-features/m-p/3245724#M...

Apparently Vanillito managed to get the sleep insights when changing the language to English, but I have found no way of changing the language.

Vanillito was never offered a solution to the problem, though. Is it like I suspected, a glitch in the Swedish Fitbit app?

Is the reason I cannot change the language in Fitbit that my iphone language defaults to Swedish?

Is there a way to override the phone default in Fitbit in order to get the missing features?

Hi @rockpool you're welcome. Thanks for your reply and update, I'm glad to continue assisting you with this situation. My apologies for the delayed reply.

I'd like to let you know that since this is not an expected behavior and you should not need to change the language of your Fitbit app to receive Sleep Insights, I've contacted our Support team regarding your concern to receive further assistance with them and further investigation of why this feature is being affected due to Swedish language. I recommend you to check your email inbox for their contact, they'll be in touch with you soon.

In the meantime they contact you, please let me know if you have any additional questions.
