I received a replacement pebble this week. It synced straight away but I noticed steps jumped up by the thousands. Overnight it recorded 7,000 steps & no sleep stats. The 2nd night I didn’t wear it and it recorded 33,000 steps. I have looked at the solutions posted and in turn have done the following:
Updated the app and iPhone software reset tracker 3 times
deleted the app and data and re-installed.
All this has been to no avail. Can anyone help with a solution or is my pebble faulty?
thanks

@Sha5 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! I hope you're doing well!
Let me help you with your Charge 2 tracking steps and sleep and thank you for troubleshooting this issue. Your device will detect the movement on your arm and translate that movement into steps. There are situations in which your arm may move but you won't be actually walking. For example, this may happen when you are playing the drums, burping a baby or clapping. It can also happen when driving or when it is near a vibrating surface (a working fan, ac unit or even a computer may cause this). You can negate these steps by logging a driving activity. You can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand but select that hand as dominant on the device’s settings to make it less sensitive to movement.
Regarding sleep your device will record it after it detects an hour of inactivity. If you have a light sleep or move too much then this may difficult your sleep detection. Additionally you can try wearing your device on your non dominant hand to decrease the amount of movement it is subjected to. Finally you can restart your device. You can also manually log your sleep time. You can read more about sleep detection here.
Let me know how it goes.
