I hope that Fitbit can add Ski activities tracking to Charge 2.
I found a post in feature suggestion board discussing regarding this feature, here is the link:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Cross-country-skiing-tracking-on-Charge-2-please...
I am posting here just want to ask everyone who wants the same feature added into Charge 2 contribute to the topic and stay in one post so the developers can see us.
I also found a post that suggestd to add ski tracking to Surge, here is the linkhttps://community.fitbit.com/t5/Surge/Downhill-Skiing-w-Surge/td-p/666748
In the post someone mentioned using bike tracking to track downhill ski, it somehow worked.

I would definitely love to see FitBit add skiing to the Charge 2! This is a workout that I currently really miss in the settings.

Guys,
I have found a perfect solution since Fitbit does not care about ski activities.
The solution: Switch to Garmin. Some models of its wrist trackers have built-in ski tracking including XC Ski and downhill.

Yes, skiing please!

I do downhill ski every weekend and am unsure how to get the charge 2 to read my activity. I have been putting the mode on bike as I am all over the hill but thinking this isn't really reliable. Wishing I had the Garmin instead at this point. Fit bit all of Colorado would love the downhill and ccx ski added as an option.

I would definitely add sking tracker feature to Fitbit Charge 2.
I practice downhill in Italy every weekend too, and I'm surprised that the developers didn't add this option.
Please close this gap meeting our expertation.

I totally agree with this. I love that my very leisurely walk to the dry cleaners counts as activity, but my 5-7 hours of skiing every weekend only adds up to 3-10 minutes each time... I would love to request this as a feature add.

I'm terribly disappointed the Charge 2 doesn't carry a downhill ski activity tracker...it's my passion every weekend.
Wake up and smell the roses guys and start developing this much needed app activity.

Can Fitbit please add skiing and snow shoeing to the activity tracker...is there any update as others have asked this same question months ago. Also other trackers on the market (Garmin) already have this option so why doesn't Fitbit by now?

I'm sure Fitbit could add and there is a good chance if enough people want it.
My suggestion is to go to the Feature request board, search for skiing. I know this has already been suggested and waiting for your votes.
As for snow shoeing I'm not sure, do a search, if you can't find it then add your vote.
Please remember the feature request forum is where Fitbit users make their thoughts known to the Fitbit developers.
The community forum where this thread is posted, is for Fitbit users to help out Fitbit users. I'm not sure if your fellow Fitbit users will be able to help you more than telling you where to make your request known.

I also would love Ski Tracking added to FitBit models with GPS. I have the Charge 2 and it seems perfect. I really enjoy it for other activities in Colorado.

Hi I have tried cycling not it is not accurate for skiing possibly due to the speed and number of turns you do in any measured distance

There are way too many variables! I can ski 10,000 vertical feet of bumps and burn 5-10 times more calories than carving groomers. The only thing they could track is vertical feet, but how that translates into how much work one has done.....................??????????????? Carving groomers might be a little more than riding a bike, but nothing like running, which would be closer bump skiing (only less). I don't know how Garmin or Suunto or any one else can predict anything other than vertical feet. Just turn your fitbit to biking or something and track your vertical feet with Skitracks or a similar ski app on your phone. I don't see why this is a big deal. Nothing will be accurate as far as how much of a workout you get and is going to depend on what type of skiing you do and what type of skier you are!

I’m setting mine to elliptical, then going back on my laptop and reentering the data as XC Skiing, but it’s not a great solution. Better than nothing, I guess!

Still no XC skiing in tracking options? Please...
