Charge 2 Ski activities tracking

I hope that Fitbit can add Ski activities tracking to Charge 2.

I found a post in feature suggestion board discussing regarding this feature, here is the link:https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Cross-country-skiing-tracking-on-Charge-2-please...

I am posting here just want to ask everyone who wants the same feature added into Charge 2 contribute to the topic and stay in one post so the developers can see us.

I also found a post that suggestd to add ski tracking to Surge, here is the linkhttps://community.fitbit.com/t5/Surge/Downhill-Skiing-w-Surge/td-p/666748

In the post someone mentioned using bike tracking to track downhill ski, it somehow worked.

While I see requests asking for skiing, I haven't found a request do tracking skiing directly on the tracker. Apparently the past request had less that 10 votes.

I suggest someone add a feature request and post back here with a link.

Please remember that the hardware board that we are in is where Fitbit users help each other out.

Wish I could pair my Charge 2 with Ski Tracks, too!

Thank you DavideFitbit moderator WOW your reply was over 13 months ago unbelievably slow for a tech company to take a simple adaptation of your software and include skiers and snowboarders in your ‘family’

suggest we all tweet @Parkjames and get your CEO on the case

I would really like to be able to track skiing on my Fitbit charge 2. I’ve been going for 35 years and it’s an excellent exercise where you cover long distances.

Developers should seriously consider including this on the Fitbit. Lesley. Aka Tilly TAYLOR. X

There isnt a away to pair Ski Tracks with Fitbit directly, but I've been working on a web service to import Ski Tracks runs into Fitbit as activites. If you've used Ski Tracks you just need to export the session as a SKIZ file and the site will do the rest.

Hope its of use to someone

I see there is a lot about tracking skiing - (or the lack of tracking)...., but it has not been relevant for me until now - is there a way to measure distance? For example if using map-tracking and iPhone GPS? We have a lot of snow this year and it would be more positive with the cross-country skiing if I don't "lose" the recording of my daily kilometres. (I may use my Runkeeper with GPS and maps - but I should rather like to have it up in my Charge2,) or is it easier with the Ionic? I love my Fitbit - and want to get the most out of it.

PS.I found a good solution for me when skiing: I used Track exercise, had GPS on and got the map and recorded kilometres. This functioned great and was quite OK.
