Charge 2 Unable to Pair with Samsung Galaxy s8+

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So after my FitBit refused to sync (last sync was March 8th), I have gone through literally every method of troubleshooting and it still won't work. I have finally removed my Charge 2 off my paired devices in my bluetooth menu on my Galaxy S8+, and now it won't connect at all via Bluetooth (or in the app for that matter). It gives me the error message "Couldn't pair with Charge 2. Check your Charge 2 settings and try again."

I have uninstalled, reinstalled the app. Removed the device from my Bluetooth menu and my FitBit app. Turned off Bluetooth and turned it back on, and restarted my FitBit many a time and it still will not work and it is getting very frustrating.

Hey @emilyrose, welcome to the Fitbit forums! Oh! Sounds odd that your Charge 2 isn't setting up with your Samsung Galaxy S8+, and on the other hand, I appreciate the time that you have taken to try to fix this issue. Beside those steps, I'd like you to review the following:

- Make sure that you have the latest version of the Fitbit app installed on your phone

- If so, repeat the setup process

- If you can't setup your Fitbit, could you please try to do that over a computer? Follow the instructions in this help article: How do I setup my Fitbit device, to do so.

Let me know how it goes!

Ok, all that nonsense is just that.  I was having the same problem and I tried all of that over and over and the only way I got it to ever work was to restart my phone.

Have also tried all the above as notifications no longer appear on my Charge 2.

Is this the best you can offer us. I have tried all of your suggestions and it still dosnt  syn.

Sound like the best outcome is to toss it.

Ps and I won't  be forking out cash on another one.

@Homer1961  Welcome! It's good that the community is growing! Sorry to hear that your Charge 2 isn't pairing with your phone. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes.
