Charge 2 Won't Connect, Yet Aria 2 Scale Does?

I am having the most bizarre time trying to get my Charge 2 to connect to my phone (Samsung SM-J327V). This is a nearly untouched model, kept in the box in the basement for over a year. No one's used it before, much less attached it to their own account, so it's not as if it's already taken.

The problem goes further back, actually. My old Charge 2 was unfortunately broken on the job and I decided to pull this old but still pristine model out. But months before it was broken, it actually stopped syncing with my Fitbit app as well as my phone. My phone couldn't connect to it via Bluetooth, but the Fitbit app could bizarrely enough still see that it was there, because it could still send the 4 digit code to the Charge 2 that I would need to enter into the phone to sync it.

The same problem is happening with this Charge 2, too. My Fitbit app still syncs perfectly with my Aria 2 scale, though, and this Charge 2 was also unsyncable with my dad's phone (same model as mine). Both phones can see the Charge 2 exists, but it can't sync; some errors say that I need to enter the Charge 2 into pairing mode, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to do that if it's even possible. I don't remember my old Charge 2 having a pairing mode.

@tymasu Welcome! It's nice to have you on board!

Let me help you syncing your Charge 2 with your phone. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but that doesn’t mean it won’t work it just means that it hasn’t been tested by our team. You can try the following:

  • Go to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there.
  • Restart your phone and restart your device
  • Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.
  • You can find additional suggestions here.

Let me know how it goes.

I did all of these suggestions, but nothing worked. It still goes all the way to when it asks me to enter the 4 digit code, and then it just keeps on buffering forever. It only stops when my phone falls asleep, and then the process finally calls it quits and says that the code I entered was wrong?
