Before logging my weights exercise, I have gain 29 minutes of active minutes. After logging the exercise as weights, the active minutes changed to Zero. My device tracks heart rate.

When you log an exercise session after-the-fact, the parameters that you input override whatever data was actually recorded, and it assumes the whole workout was at the same intensity.  That option is there so that you can log a workout for when you were not wearing your tracker.

That is among the reasons I recommend using the Exercise App on your device to record you workout as you do it.
