So I have the charge 2 and I love it. But in the recent weeks the one side of the band keeps falling off. It will unlatch in my shirt sleeve and just hang, or it will literally fall off my wrist. I can’t seem to figure out how to fix it.
Do I need a new band or is it a problem with the two metal pieces that latch together?
Any help is appreciated as it’s just getting super annoying.

Hi
I have a charge 2. I am on my second wrist band and it just keeps coming off! The plastic appears to have become weak near where it joins. Can you help

So I still have not found a suitable replacement watch, so I broke down and bought one of these bands from Amazon in Canada (I imagine Amazon US has the same item?):
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B076WQPJDR/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
So far it's working. It may not work for those whose watches have a broken metal attachment tab. For me, it's given me more use of my watch.
I understand Google just bought FitBit so it will be interesting to see if customer service and the band design improve.

You see tons of customers having the same issue. I have one band replaced and with 3 months of replacement it broke again.
It is faulty design and you should replace the band even if it beyond 1 year . You have sold a lemon.

I agree. Very irritating. Happened with my charge HR as well. Replaced with the Charge 2 and 1 year later same **ahem** issue. Not a satisfied customer with the quality. I contacted Fitbit 2 days ago and because I purchased my watch in Oct 2018, they said that they are unable to help me. Please advise? Can Fitbit atleast send a new band? Or better voucher me for a new watch. This is my second Fitbit and I will most definitely not be purchasing Fitbit again if my issue isn't resolved. It's frustrating putting money into these things and they don't last!. Last year the same thing happened with my friends watch and Fitbit compensated him with a brand new watch of the same model!
Please help.
Thanks
Yes! Stay away from fitbit!
They've lost me too! unacceptable. Same issue with me. warranty over, you on your own. pathetic
OMG SAME !

When I still had my old band that fell I made my band a bit looser and it didn’t solve the problem but it stopped it from falling so frequently I also put a bracelet infront of it so if anything caught it would catch on the bracelet first.
good luck

My charge 2 band disconnected from the unit and I can't get it to reconnected. From all the communication that I have seen from the community, I don't see a solution and that seems unacceptable Is there someplace I can send it for a repair? I noticed that Target in their search

No, they know there is an issue but are not interested. Once it starts dropping off it will carry on doing that until it wont go back on at all. But usually it starts within a few months so inside the warranty. They it gets interesting as the band is a different age to the main unit.

Looks like service hasn't improved. Want to refuse replacing my band although it's just a few months old. It is my 7th in 2 years. But surely it's in warranty!

Hard to see how this 'official Fitbit response' can actually be the 'best answer', when the real answer is that the Charge 2 band falling off is caused by a band design problem. The band is prone to failure over a short period of time, as many other posts have stated. My Charge 2 band has broken twice, my son's once and my wife's once. My son's and one of mine occurred within the warranty period and were replaced. The other two failures were outside warranty. I now have two Charge 2's (mine and my wife's) with no bands, so they are unusable. I would not buy another Fitbit that had the same type of rubberized band: the rubber breaks where it is moulded around the metal clip. If your wear the watch in bed it breaks sooner than if you don't, but it still breaks within months of daily use.
