My charge 2 battery has always lasted a good 3-5 days depending on my activity, however since Thursday it is dying after not even 3 hours. I charged it all night last night untill 8:30 am and it was dead by 11am. This is a really sudden change not a deterioration after time. It’s not even 2 years old!

@melissapotts95 Welcome! It's nice to have you on board! Sorry to hear about your Charge 2 battery not holding a charge. Start by cleaning your tracker's contacts with a toothpick or toothbrush and then use cotton with rubbing alcohol. After this restart your tracker by doing the following:
Plug the charging cable to your computer or UL certified wall adapter.
Align the contacts of the tracker with the charging cable and plug it in making sure it snaps securely.
Your tracker should start charging.
Press the button for 10 to 12 seconds.
You should see your tracker's firmware version and you can now unplug your tracker.
Fully charge your tracker by plugging it for a couple of hours and monitor its behavior (try syncing periodically to save the battery state).
Let me know how it goes!

@melissapotts95 thank you for following my suggestions. Since the tracer is still giving issues the best thing is to let our Support team know about it. They will be able to review its information and provide options. You will get an email from them.
Keep me posted!

How do you get a hold of the support team? This must be a Fitbit issue. It’s happening to lots of people all of a sudden. Very frustrating.

My Charge 2's battery has also started draining very quickly, this morning it was fully charged and within an hour it was down to 10%. Called support and am trying his suggestions. It also is not recording my heart rate.

This seems be the same as mine - been working fine for years but then noticed today that the watch wouldn’t turn on (even though it was charged on Tuesday) and so I got home and put it on charge for an hour and showed full charge - next thing I put it on for 5 mins and when I checked the watch, it was just a black screen so put it back on charge and it was showing as empty, 2 mins later it’s showing full charged but won’t come on?
help please!

Having to buy a new device when my device was only a year old- but of course just past warranty- after doing an update that caused this problem. is not a solution.
I am really upset about it.
I am using my son's versa until it dies, which I'm sure it will as it's almost 2 years old. And I dread resetting up under my profile in case something awry happens. So now I'm not getting any accurate data and I pay for premium. It's just totally unacceptable. Fitbit should be replacing all Charge 3s with this problem as THEY have created it.

If it's not so nice, you can buy it TWICE! This is quite obviously a software problem- fitbit's software problem and a heck of a way to create sales.

My charge2 just started doing this as well! I got it in November but I can't find my receipt. Did you get a response from fitbit?

My Fitbit charger 2 has also just died after about 2.5 years. Never had a problem with it (unlike my partner, who had these issues before me) until a few days ago when battery started dying after a short period, hours...whereas before it was a good few days. I have read the tips about cleaning it etc etc and none of them have worked. It’s currently ‘charging’ but is dead as a dodo. All in all, not worth the money for the life of its use. Although it was great whilst working, I certainly won’t be buying another one. I’ll just get a cheaper one and expect it to break down.

Same thing happened to me! Was fully charged & noticed it was at 25% during the day then down to 15% when I got home. Charged it overnight. Showed fully charged when I woke up. It’s 3 hours later and already back to 15%! Fitbit - HELP!!!

Mine and my mums have started doing this in the last two weeks. So disappointed! Any explanation on what is happening here because clearly it is a wider issue. Have they just made Charge 2 obsolete so we have to purchase something new? Hmm.
