Hi there,
I have had my Fitbit for about 2 years now and I love it!! Only problem I’m having now is my battery doesn’t last more than 2 days! Does Fitbit replace the batteries?

Mine is a little short of two years old and I have to charge it every day. Just started happening in the last week or so. I have al day sync turned off and nothing more on than I had before. I used to go an entire week before charging. I have tried all the resets, upgraded the software, cleaned and still everyday. Im not buying another one, I will switch to something else. Too expensive to have to buy a new one every year or two.

The back of my charge 2 came off somewhere. I did not notice until I was about to charge it. Fitbit does not replace parts all they did was offer a crappy discount on buying a whole new watch. I had it for 18 months. I lived without it before and would not buy from them again unless they change their practices. I think this is outrageous, I feel as though I am being charged more than I paid for the watch as prices have gone up, to replace the back. If it comes off it should be replaceable !!!! I will buy my next fitness watch from a company that has better service. Or use the phone app that comes with my phone for free in conjunction with a reasonably priced step counter!

@Johnhenry41 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here!
quiry. The battery on Fitbit devices (except for the old Fitbit Zip) aren't replaceable. If you have any type of issues with the battery you can check this article if it isn't charging and this other article if it isn't holding a charge.
Let me know how it goes.

It’s a bit sad really, my daughters Fitbit charge 2 was bought 12 months and 1 weeks ago and the battery is dead. It was a Christmas present so it hasn’t even been worn technically for 12 months. Well at least it has saved me money as I planed to buy my other 4 children the same for Christmas this year but now I will never buy a Fitbit again ever.

It happened to me on my 1st fitbit ( an Alta HR), exactly like that. after 13 months of having it battery suddenly died.
Unfortunately I decide to buy a second one (Versa), and now after 10 months it happened again, after completely charged it only last about 6h working, that's nothing...
Completely disappointed with Fitbit products.

I have a Versa and my battery only lasted about 13 months. Already have tried all the steps through support none of which worked. I got a coupon for a discount for a new one but unfortunately I haven't had the money to replace it till now and of course the coupon expired. Now I can't afford the increased price. There are battery options offered online through other resalers but I wanted to find out if FITBIT recommended them or if I can send my watch to have the battery replaced by FITBIT. According to everything I can find there is a way to replace the battery but obviously FITBIT just wants to get more money and not offer options other than buying a new watch every year or two years.
I am really frustrated by this and because I liked my Versa so much I got my husband the VERSA 2 for Christmas. I am very likely going to regret this purchase in a year because there is no option for replacing a battery when needed.

Same here with my Versa.

BTW, I did all those things...thrice.
The device shows a full charge. Then, after unplugging the charger, it dies within 20 min.
Wash, rinse, repeat.
What a **ahem**. Built in obsolescence worse than the iPhone.

LOL. You said Fitbit won't do anything because his Fitbit is past the short warranty period. Then you said he shouldn't replace the battery himself, because it will void his warranty. Where is the risk there?

This is absolutely terrible. I purchased 3 Fitbit Versa 2 watches about 2 years ago. Maybe less or maybe more, eitherway I believe that Fitbit should be on the hook for product recall and or product liability.
I could have purchased any brand of watch including a non-smart watch and it would be fine now or I could have my local watch dealer replace the battery. I have all my original receipts and packaging. I believe i am going to pursue this as far as i can.
I like my fitbit watch, everyone asks me if its Apple and i say no it's a fitbit and show them the features. All the free marketing I did and now to find out this about the battery problem. I have to currently charge it daily. I think they should step up as the manufacturer and or US distributor and fix this.
My 2 cents...
Thanks,
Ivan
