Charge 2 battery life not lasting as it should

I replaced my 4 year old Charge 2 because the battery steadily declined in life. The Charge 2 became unusable and at that time I found no way to contact Fitbit. I began using the Charge 2 again about a year ago to track my sleep; even that failed in 5 to 6 hours. I have resolved to buy American and Fitbit was my only option. So I'm back hoping for a tracker that last a few days at least and longer than 6 months.

Hi @bjamesobx, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Let me share with you that the battery of our Charge 2 was designed to last 5 days, but this also depends on how frequently you use all the features of your device. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much.

After following the above information, please check this help article for more tips and recommendations. This article includes as restart process that will refresh the device's performance.

Let me know if further assistance is needed and if you have any additional questions.

I had an update to my fitbit app which I updated a couple of days ago and bam!  Now my fitbit Charge 2 won't hold a charge and the battery can't last a 8 hour workday.  Tried everything and still no difference.  Very disappointed and now looking at other brands for options.

My Charge 2 just started doing that yesterday.    Today I have had to charge it 3x and it doesn't seem to charge easily either. Customer service had no answer other than to buy a new Fitbit.  I'm not very happy. I have been with Fitbit since their first product.

Mine just started doing the same thing Saturday! Had to charge it three times and now it won’t take charge or even wake up! Was lasting at least a week until Saturday!

My fitbit will all of a sudden not hold a charge.  I didn't get any warning that the battery was low it just stopped working.

I had no luck with contacting FitBit. I bought a FitBit Charge 4; software is worse and very inaccurate compared to Charge 2. I sent it back, thank you Amazon.
