Charge 2 blank screen, still tracking, then no bluetooth signal and now vibrating every second

Only had my charge 2 for just over 2 and a half years and having serious issues - not good for an expensive bit of kit - over £100 when I bought it November 2017.

I took up the free fitbit premium trial offered during the Covid-19 lockdown and around the same time the screen on the watch went blank.

Tried resetting several times, but did not resolve the issue.

Also it started to need more frequent charging - eventually daily, with a top up before bed.

The watch was still tracking and vibrating for notifications and alarms so continued to wear it, although it was now useless as a watch.

After a week or so the charging problem seemed to sort itself out and the battery was lasting a good 4-5 days.

Although I now just had an expensive tracker and no watch, it continued to track and sync as normal for a couple of weeks.

This weekend the bluetooth signal disappeared - I kept getting “device not found” when trying to sync.

I have reset several times and scanned with various bluetooth enabled devices but the tracker (now an ex-watch) cannot be detected.

The last sync was around half 6 on Saturday 8th Aug '20.

Finally, this afternoon the ex-watch / tracker started vibrating once every second - extremely annoying.

At first a couple of presses of the button stopped it for a minute or so, then it only stopped if you held the button down for a few seconds, and only while holding the button.

It's charging now as I've tried a few resets, and it has stopped vibrating.

Although as soon as I remove it from the charger the vibrations start again.

So now I have no watch and no tracker - not happy at all.

I have a HD TV that is over 10 years old that still works perfectly and lots of other stuff that's older and still works - if you look after your things they last.

I can't believe that in this day and age you can't make a product that will last, especially when your prices are so high.

I expect low quality products to have a short life, and would expect to pay less, but for over £100 I expected the charge 2 to last for much longer than it has.

I can see on the forums that lots of people have had similar issues to the ones I have experienced, so this is clearly not an isolated fault.

You need to seriously improve the quality of your products if you want to continue to charge such high prices.

Either that or lower the prices so we know they're not that well made and won't last

I'd like to know why has my Charge 2 stopped working in such a spectacular fashion.
