Charge 2 discomfort and cracked screen

Have had my Charge 2 since Dec. 2017.  A month ago I noticed a crack at the top of the screen and started getting hives under the band around the same time.  The crack is now the full length of the screen.  I see others reporting skin issues from the band.  I am not sensitive or allergic to anything, but wonder if it is a coincidence that it happened after the cracked screen (maybe leaking something?).  It appears the vertical crack is a design flaw from reading others’ posts....very sad to see in such an expensive product which has been well cared for.
