My FitBit Charge 2 went frozen on 7/10 @ 9:47p which continues to be displayed on the watch face along with miles and calories. Tapping on the face doesn't allow the scrolling that would normally occur.
The watch still charges and I tried reseting the watch by pushing and holding the button on side while it charged but no success. It seems like one of the last application updates, which I believe was on 7/10, may have caused some issues since its the only thing that has changed.
I've had this model for over 2 1/2 years so I'm not sure if the unit has runs its course. Any pearls of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @mikec9 Welcome to the Community. Sorry to hear this. The only other thing I can think of is to try draining the battery down until the display goes off and then try recharging once more.

Had the same thing happen. Screen frozen July 4th. Cannot reset, still charges, still tracks and functions fine. Let it drain all the way and just plugged it back in today. Screen still stuck on July 4th. How long after it stops turning on do you need to wait before it is completely dead?

Hi @MJSNetworking as draining the battery completely didn't work for you, I would suggest contacting Customer Support for some further assistance.

I have the same issue. My screen froze at July 8th. I have drained the battery for a week. The moment I connect the charger, it pops up the same screen. Reset does not work for me.

All - thanks for the insight. I did drain my charge 2 then recharged and reset it. The previous frozen date was replaced with a new frozen date. The activity tracker still works but can only be seen via phone app. Any other ideas are welcomed.

Has anyone had any luck with this? This is exactly what I’m experiencing too. Let it drain all the way dead and that didn’t help. Reset not working either. Thanks
