Charge 2 display is not longer working properly

Okay so I don't exactly remember when I got the Charge 2 but lately the display started garnering horizontal lines. Now I've tried to reset but, no luck in restoration. Now the illumination has started to go dim and I'm thinking it could be due to the age of the Charge 2. I don't have any complaints about the device and I'm thinking maybe it's just time to consider upgrading. I wanted to see if there were any suggestions in resolving this first before I just run to another product.

I've tried restarting my tracker and it showed the fitbit logo with most likely a product or manufacturing part number and no luck. I don't really want to factory reset the fitbit with the possibility of losing all the data...badges earned, milestones that I'd have to re-earn, that would be unfortunate.
